We have expanded our production capabilities with a new technology – the gasketing of cast two-component polyurethane sealant (FIP – Formed-In-Place technology). This technology is an alternative to the classic gluing of sealing tapes. Now in Sinop we are able to apply sealants to parts measuring 2500 x 1250 x 250 mm. We apply this technology with the help of the top-notch Sonderhoff 3R PUR machine. For more information, please contact our sales department. At the end of 2024 we reinforced our bending machine park with the new TruBend 5170 press brake. Our fleet of press brakes now has 8 members. As it is our custom, we always try to equip a new machine with superior quality in terms of automation and production accuracy. This was also the case for TruBend 5170. We believe that the new machine will produce many precision parts for our customers in the upcoming years.

The new facilities now include modern offices, a storage area, a meeting room, and a cozy dining space — all designed to make work more comfortable and efficient.

This year, our company Sinop SMP celebrated its very first milestone — and we marked the occasion with a spectacular summer open house.

But the story of the Sinop Group goes much further back. It all began in 1994, which means this year we’re celebrating 30 years since the founding of the company.

Over the past three decades, Sinop has grown from a small regional installation company working out of rented premises into a group employing over 500 people and leading the way in three key areas: sheet metal parts manufacturing, bevarage technology and industrial cooling systems.

We are now offering our customers a new surface treatment method — glass bead blasting.
Glass beads are an abrasive material made of tiny glass microspheres, ranging in size from 40 to 600 µm.

This method is ideal for cleaning or unifying stainless steel and aluminum surfaces, and it can also serve as an alternative to pickling.

In our blasting booth, we can handle products up to 4000 × 3000 × 3000 mm in size.

After 5 years we organized the event of the Open House and went to work on Saturday, with smile on our face and our friends and family members by our side. This time there was a genuine reason for the party as we have been celebrating the jubilee – 10 years since the founding of Sinop SMP in Homole. Our employees could show where they work and how are machines and facilities look like. After the tours in the manufacturing area, we all gathered on the backyard behind the production hall, where all visitors, regardless of age, found their happy place. Bouncy castles, ice cream cones or a catering stand served by our chiefs of production. The enjoyable atmosphere was completed by a live band and of course, we did not forget to order the sunny weather…

Dragon boat racing is great fun and involves a good dose of physical activity. In this sport, the entire crew must be perfectly coordinated and, quite literally, pull together. That’s exactly what our company dragon boat team, “Plecháci”, managed to do this year at the Lipno reservoir. After a five-year break, we returned to the event—and crowned our comeback with a victory among the corporate teams. Most importantly, we enjoyed two fantastic days full of team spirit, laughter, and unforgettable memories.

The team from Sinop SMP has participated as an active exhibitor at the trade fait ESEF Maakindustrie in Utrecht, the Netherlands. We showcased our expertise in manufacturing of complex metal sheet assemblies for out customers. The central point of out booth was the self-manufactured metal sheet advertising column. If you visit us in Homole, you will be able to see it at our front desk.

In our company the innovation takes place not just in the realm of fabrication machines. Our websites have deserved a new design for a long time – and now they got it! The intention is to present our range of technologies and the typical products manufactured by Sinop so you get the idea about our manufacturing capabilities. The focus was laid on easy on the eye design and creative photos featuring our employees and representing our mindset. We are hoping that you find all you need here and that you like it.

In September 2023 we carried out a complete replacement of luminaires in our company. In total more than 500 lights were changed. The new energy-efficient LED lights are not just saving electricity but also improving the work comfort of our employees.

Annual hike on top of local hill Kleť has already become a tradition in Sinop. This summer day we gathered there shortly after part of us conquered the top on mountain bike and the rest by foot. Of course, the trip was finished with a refreshment and relaxed time on top.

On September another run of our Sinop Pull-up Contest took place. Indeed, we have a self-constructed pull-up bar next to our production hall. Here an annual contest takes place where the Teams of 3 perform as many pull-ups as possible in the time frame of 5 minutes. The Teams from our partnered companies are welcome as well. The names of winners are embedded on challenge cup. This year this trophy stayed at home as the winning team was formed by our production employees.

Our machine park was complemented with a precision leveller from German manufacturer Arku. This high-performing Roller Levelling Machine enables us to flatten laser-cut parts or stamped parts up to 15 mm of sheet metal thickness. The flatness of 0,1 mm can be achieved as a standard. The parts are not just made perfectly flat, but the material is also relieved of internal stresses. Thanks to that the subsequent bending or welding of the parts tends to be more stable and time-efficient. Right now we newly offer the sheet metal precision flattening as a service for our customers.

In Sinop we have been happily producing on the machining center Hermle over the 6 years already. Based on our positive experience with this high-precision and high-productive machine a decision was made to invest in another Hermle machine. This time enhanced and equipped with a so-called Handling System Flex. It is possible to load workpieces to up to 22 pallets from where they are automatically fed into the milling area and subsequently stored back. This high degree of automation propels our efficiency and facilitates more effective use of our resources.

The turned parts are produced in Sinop on our 4 CNC turning machines and on one conventional lathe. The new reinforcement for our CNC Turning team is machine from Japanese manufacturer Mazak Quick Turn 200 MB. The investments in the metal turning equipment are rounding up our production portfolio and facilitate our goal to provide all-round metal manufacturing solution.
