At the end of 2024, we expanded our bending department with a new TruBend 5170 press brake from TRUMPF. This investment strengthened our production capacity and improved flexibility in metal forming. As a result, our fleet of press brakes now includes eight modern machines.
The TruBend 5170 combines power, precision, and automation in one system. It delivers a bending force of 170 tons and a working length of 3 meters. Therefore, it can easily process a wide range of sheet thicknesses and materials, including stainless steel, aluminum, and coated steel. Moreover, it features CNC-controlled backgauges, an automatic angle measurement system (ACB), and intelligent crowning. These functions ensure accurate and repeatable results across every bend.
As is our company tradition, we always choose machines that offer superior automation and production accuracy. The TruBend 5170 fits perfectly into this philosophy. It integrates seamlessly into our digital production environment and supports offline programming through TRUMPF TecZone Bend software. Consequently, setup times are shorter, and the risk of operator error is significantly reduced.
In addition, the new press brake allows paperless job management and easy data exchange with our ERP and MES systems. This brings higher efficiency, better traceability, and a more sustainable workflow. Thanks to these improvements, we can react faster to customer requirements and deliver complex parts with consistent quality.
We are confident that the TruBend 5170 will produce thousands of precision-bent components for our customers in the coming years. Above all, this investment confirms our long-term commitment to innovation, reliability, and continuous improvement in metal fabrication.
